AI Ethics and Policy Mini-Symposium

The UF Informatics Institute will host a Mini-Symposium on AI Ethics and Policy, organized by Dr. Duncan Purves. The purpose of the symposium is to showcase some of the AI ethics work being done at UF. Events will include an introduction by Duncan Purves, a guest presentation by John Basl (Northeastern’s Ethics Institute), and a UF ethics scholar showcase, consisting of brief presentations on the research agendas of UF faculty in the area of AI ethics. Attendance can be either in-person or virtual. Registration is now closed, but you can still attend in person or on Zoom without having registered. A Zoom link will be sent to all registrants prior to the event, and you can email Duncan Purves for a link to the Zoom meeting. Note that the lunches provided at the event are only for registered attendees.
