UF Philosophy is headed to the 2026 SSPP
The UF Philosophy Department will be making a strong showing at the 2026 meeting of the Southern Society for Philosophy and Psychology, with five UF faculty members, postdocs, and graduate students headed to Atlanta in February.
Hume and Hellenism Conference
On February 20–21, the University of Florida will host a two-day conference on Hume’s engagement with Hellenistic thought. Sponsored by UF Philosophy, the Hamilton School, and the Hume Society, the conference brings together leading scholars to explore how Hume engaged with Epicurean, Stoic, Neoplatonist, and Skeptical traditions.
Marcus Davis Earns Dissertation Fellowships, Runner-Up in 3MT Competition, and Teaching Award
Congratulations to Marcus Davis, who was recently awarded both two Dissertation Fellowships and a Teaching Award, and also earned runner-up honors in UF’s Three-Minute Thesis competition!
